SARUBAI'S
FAMILY --
Sarubai Laxman Tambe is a single mom of four wonderful children, two
boys and two
girls;
eldest, Sunita is now married & with one very aware daughter
"Chandrani".
I
first met this dear family in November of 2002, when visiting the
ancient
caves at Ellora,
... 4 months after their very abusive, alcoholic father
died.
In those days, they were sleeping on the floor of their non-operating
shell of a restaurant;
and mom earned less than $25/month in gardening work for the Government.
The Hermitage has been supporting the family ever since.
The restaurant was remodeled and reopened in December of 2003; and, the
Mishra Family came for a visit in January, 2004.
Those photos comprise
the Original
Blissbook (2003/4).
From May
& June of 2005 until February 2006 we financed construction of
their own house
on land jointly purchased for them during December '04 by the Hermitage
and
Sarubai's brother Santosh.
Although we have lots of nice pics of House Building time, there is no
Blissbook for that time.
DINESH'S
FAMILY -- Dinesh Shrisunder is my helper in Ellora.
Speaking fairly good english, Dinesh helps me with nearly all
things I wish to do for Sarubai and her children
as well as in building my own ashram here in Ellora.
So, we are also helping Dinesh's family in certain ways, and
together, we are all a wonderful extended Ellora Family!!
